Course Description
Excel Foundations – Level 1 provides a comprehensive introduction to Microsoft Excel as an essential workplace tool. The course covers the Excel interface, creating and managing workbooks, entering and editing data, basic formulas and functions (SUM, AVERAGE, MIN, MAX, COUNT), cell formatting, worksheet management, chart creation, printing, file management, and data security principles including compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
This course aligns with the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Level 2-3 standards for computer literacy and spreadsheet applications, as recognised under the Skills Development Act 97 of 1998. The content has been developed in accordance with South African workplace requirements and data protection legislation.
